ZINC REPLACEMENT

The importance of replacing Zinc Anodes to maintain your boat:

Saltwater contains electrolytes which cause galvanic corrosion, Zinc Anodes help to prevent electrolysis damage by protecting your boat’s metal parts underwater.

The unprotected metals on your propellers, propeller and drive shafts, metal rudders, trim tabs and thru hull fittings will erode and damage these parts.  Maintaining your Zinc Anodes can save unnecessary costly repairs and replacement of parts.

By utilizing our underwater inspection and maintenance services, it could prevent unnecessary early dry dock of your vessel.

Properly cleaned propellers reduce fuel consumption, increases speed and  improves in-water handling.



HULL CLEANING

Delays in cleaning your boat can lead to a significant amount of hard fouling and damage to hull paint and this could be very costly. This may not only affect the fuel consumption but also speed and power of your vessel.  Hull cleaning includes inspection and buffing.

- Polishing of fixtures, cupboards, cabinetry, countertops and appliances.
- Sanitation of heads (bathrooms) and galley (kitchens).
- Washing of interior floors.
- Wiping down of leather and upholstery


DELUXE CLEANING INCLUDES (all of the above and):

- Complete vacuuming in every room (customer supplies vacuum)

BOAT HOUSES, DOCKS AND FLOAT HOMES

There are various Float home communities through out Vancouver Island, we offer a wide range of cleaning and maintenance services from Nanaimo to Sidney, British Columbia.
Over a few months Float homes acquire heavy bearding consisting of muscles, barnacles, tube worms and sea weed, which can make your Float home list and eventually sink.  Bearding can also cause instability and uneven weight distribution adding wear and tear to the billets, drums and styrofoam floatation, all leading to very costly repairs.
If  you own a Float home, we highly suggest a yearly inspection and cleaning just like you would on any land home.  Owning a Float home is an investment and is worth the small up-keep to help you avoid more costly issues down the road.
